Who are Peter and Randi Jeeps?
Peter and I were penpals. Peter was living in Witham, Essex and I was in Portland Oregon USA. That was 15 years ago and the rest ,as they say... is history. We have been married for over 13 years and we both like Antiques, Collectables, Artwork and rummaging through other peoples 'junk'. Peter studies Military History and likes anything 'Militaria'. I collect 1950's handbags. I also like my pottery. I love clay and in particular making garden sculptures from my little studio at home.
Opening an 'Antiques & Collectables' shop was on our list of things to do! Having moved to Ilminster 10 years ago we fell in love with the area and the community. We commuted back and forth to London for nearly 9 years until we were finally able to be in Somerset full time. After looking for a shop in Ilminster, for a couple of years, we finally completed in October 2007 and opened 24th November 2007 at 24A Ditton Street.
The shop was refurbished internally to accommodate over 15 different dealers selling a wide range of antiques and collectables. These include jewellery, silver, paintings & artwork, china and pottery, postcards, linen, pens, militaria and small items of furniture.
Stop by we'd love to meet you. If you would like to email us: mail@ilminsterantiques.co.uk
