Ilminster Exposed 2010 Calendar £7.50 (+ postage of £1.41) Why would 12 Ilminster Shopkeepers take off their clothes to be photographed?  For charity of course!  Not just any charity but for 'Vaughan Lee House, the Residential Care Home Built by the Community'. 'Ilminster Exposed' is a 2010 Calendar Girls type of calendar featuring a different shop from Ilminster every month with the shopkeeper, and in many cases their staff, posing with props from their respective businesses.  In addition the calendar block is filled with events, sales etc. relevant to Ilminster for the year.  Co-ordinated by Randi Jeeps of Ilminster Antiques & Collectables she stated 'it's a bit awkward to ask people to pose nude and have their photograph taken but when I explained that it was for Vaughan Lee House they did not hesitate to get their kits off!  This represents the kind of community that we live in.  Besides being one of the friendliest it is also one of the most charitable.  She also commented that Ilminster is full of characters and is pleased that the calendar represents real people of all ages, sizes, gender and cheekiness! Have you ever thought of what Tris' buns from Bilby's Coffee Shop look like, what 5 Butchers in the Buff from Bonners of Ilminster would use as props, how Sam from Harrimans Menswear would look in a top hat or how many oysters Mike used as his props?  Then do not hesitate to pick up your copy of the calendar and all your questions will be answered!  Remember 'purchase before you peek'  for Vaughan Lee House!  Calendars are being delivered to shops on Friday 25th September and go on sale at midday. With Jim Olds, Ilminster's town crier on the cover, followed by Bilbys Coffee Shop, Mikes, Cottage Flowers, Ilminster Antiques & Collectables, Lanes Garden Shop, Harrimans Menswear, No 33 Hair Design, Town & Country Hardware, Mark Hebrons, A Touch of Elegance, Cornhill Wines and Bonners the Butchers of Ilminster it will be a year to remember.  Don't miss this opportunity to see your favourite shopkeepers in a whole new light!  The calendar is available at all these shops...just look for the poster in the window.  Calendars costs £7.50.  There is a limited number so don't hesitate to pick up your copy early.
